Recommended Posts

A good choice is Hecky , Sheffield now has two proper managers who know the players and respective leagues inside out .

Might work out for the best, Slavs tenure at the Lane was one of the strangest I've seen there,

This sentence on the club statement says he has a contract till 2025/26.

Yorkshireman Heckingbottom takes charge of the club’s football business immediately after agreeing a contract through to the end of the 2025/26 season.

Paul Heckinbottom.😂😂😂

The gift that keeps on giving.

Fully expect Slav was shown the empty war chest for January recruitment and wanted out. Poundland is truly playing a blinder.

Bassettone isnt moaning though, his opinion is fair enough (if a bit fanciful)

He spends to much time gazing at his crystal balls.

Another sign that the club is in severe financial difficulties, at least the ones who were denying it on here have gone quiet now.  🤣

Wouldn't the parachute money cover the debts?.

Not to mention the 28,000 fans a week.

Overall, a positive step.  Clealy Slav couldn't even decide the system to play, let alone personnel.  Coming in we have someone who knows the players well, has managed the Club before, and should at least see us into the top half of the table from where we sit now in the bottom half.  If he does well, he's under contract and they can extend that, if not they can bring another man in next season and pay him off/or return him to coaching Juniors or under 23's.

Deffo the cheap option but he knows nearly all this squad and let's hope he can lift them.

Its a brave decision by someone to give him a contract until 2026.....that's a big commitment...

He's a good lad...i'd wish him all the best normally....but looking at the contract he's got he's done ok already!

I'm wondering in what capacity the contract states, also like you say on a lot less money.
