Hello!

I hope you are all well.

I'm looking for someone to try and get fit with... I'm not completely unfit but work/life has made me sluggish😔 Plus having no one to get fit with is kinda lonely and leaving me feeling unmotivated to do much 😔

I'm not really into joining a gym membership (altho if your gym has "pay as you go" i would be tempted to join you). I'd be happy to do some walking or jogging (I use to run but now its a much slower steadier pace!🤣), climbing (indoors; Awesome Walls Sheffield or Foundry), bouldering (Depot Sheffield, The Works or The Hanger)... Happy to teach. Or whatever outdoor sports there are this time of year (Boot Camp? Park Run?) I'd be happy to give a new sport a go but would need teaching 👍🏽 Also happy to do indoor sports (as said I don't really want to join a gym) so would happily play badminton? Or some sort of other indoor sport.

Anyway, I'm hoping someone will reply and we can help each other.  🤞🏽🤞🏽

There are group classes at most gyms.  Get a free pass off the internet and try. In Hillsborough Park there's some sort of running club where they run around the track. They're all shapes and sizes so they're not experts or too fit for you! There is a multi gym app called Hustle where you can buy day tickets for quite a few places. It covers everything from swimming to weights, depends what you want. I'm not confident we won't have another lock down so you better get your skates on!

Hey SheffieldBricky,

Ta for that. I was hoping to have recommendations from people who've used said gyms and/or make new Fitness Buddies to motivate one another to get fit and keep fit.

Thank you though for your reply 👍🏽😊

Hey,

Sorry @owls66 only just seen your reply!

Let me know if you fancy meeting up for a jog? Or climbing?

Have you considered joining a climbing gym, go regularly and meet friends there? Friend of mine did that and worked out well for him, quite dramatic change in fitness and appearance etc.

Also parkrun every Saturday morning has to be a no-brainier!

How did you decide to join climbing gym. Please give me some motivation too:(

Hi Sophia,

It was my friend who joined, I only went a few times. Best of luck finding something you like, and the motivation to do it!
