Toll Gate on Pitsmoor Road -May 1965- 1s 5d for a pint of Stones', later that year it went up to 1s 6d and all the old timers in there said the world was coming to an end with beer at that price !

Yes Alan was the son. Last I heard Alan was manager of Big Tree Woodseats. About 6/7 years ago.

Yes they had a Humber super snipe ,  we used to borrow it , LOL , did 90 mph on Parkway the night before it officially opened ,

Sons were (youngest first), Alan, Billy, Pete and Albert. Sally was their mother.

How much is 231/2p hobinfoot ? Can't be 2 pounds summat in 1974.  Corner Pin -Tetley's pub- (Carlisle Street East/Lyons Street}, nearest pub to where I was born and building still there but no longer a pub
