Recommended Posts

Anyone remember the earliest they went to see a Father Christmas in Sheffield when they were a child? I seem to remember Father Christmas in the Co-op in the 50s?

Ditto and about the same year.

I have a photo of me sat on Santa's knee there.

That wouldn't be allowed nowadays. How the world has changed!

Good evening echo beach.

Wondering why I can remember that occasion from 72 years ago, I was only 3 !!

Somebody has to ask where Stewart and Stewart was.

Think Stewart and Stewart was at the end of Pinstone Street? Saw Terry Thomas and his

wife shopping there in the 60s!

Yes, you're right Golden Oldie, as far as I remember it was on Pinstone Street across from the Peace Gardens and St Paul's Parade.

The Arcade circa 1954.

Still have the crinkly edged photo somewhere.
