Andrew appears to have a habit of wanting everything to be fair and fine, unless he’s mixing with his own type  someone is always going to take advantage of him. It amazes me that the royals aren’t out and out cynics, as they have always been the ‘prey’ of the good looking wannabes, male and female. Charles is aware of this as both Diana and Camilla came from his side of the fence, William has gone for working class, always a risk in his position as she doesn’t fully know the rules, fingers crossed for them.

I'm not sure I would call Kate 'workingclass' exactly, but I do think Charles would never have been allowed to marry a 'commoner' in his day. As for her 'not knowing the rules' I think she's doing very well so far and is a credit to her upbringing. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a flat cap and ferret lurking in the back of the wardrobe....

Or at all.  Wiki's refs tells me she went to Marlborough, lived in mummy and daddy's Chelsea flat, and was worth several million pounds herself pre-William.  She was groomed for years for the role of queen in waiting and has been living it for over ten years.

I have just read "A Royal Duty" by Paul Burrell.

A very interesting book.

Flat caps are an acceptable accessory of the upper classes, as for the ferret I understand that Madonna has one as a pet.

The only difference between Queen’s Victoria and Elizabeth is that the former’s home language was German whilst the latter’s is English. Same lifestyle in same property doing very similar things with bowing and scraping underlings at their beck and call.
