Android S5 Phone Fails To Connect To Sheff Forum?

I can connect to all other websites that I have tried  . About 2 days ago I started getting  error messages, saying that the site was not safe. This is happening all the time now with the phone, and also affecting the Samsung tablet device (Android) most of the time. 

 

It is very frustrating as I cannot establish whether it is the devices, or some aspect of this website. 

If anyone can help, that would be great-it's doing my head in 😀. Thanks .

I have just typed it in to the browser  one  character at a time. When I enter it, it reverts to that last "fake" screenshot. It displsys a red S and the black triangle. I don't know what (or who 🤔) is causing the issue??

It doesn't like the certificate. What browser is it using?

Chrome browser. Also tried basic google browser. 

I have managed to log in on the tablet this morning  via Chrome. I don't know if the issue will be  present the next time I log in.

Have you installed all app and phone updates? Certificate issues could be related to missing phone updates.

Yes, always updating apps. I seem to be able to get on the forum in the wee hours but not in daytime. No problem now on the way towards midnight. Very strange. No issue with any other website thus far.

I get the same now and again on my Android phone (Sony). Started about 2 weeks ago but not every time I log in.

WiFi Broadband in rural France.

 

Had it happen 3 times today after a week or so of no problems.

 

Thinking about today - phone failed to connect to WiFi at a supermarket (probably a very weak signal as sat on bench outside) - showed wifi available, connected to wifi but no internet.

 

When I got home sat right next to wifi box still not connecting - then when it did got the "not safe" message. Re-booted phone and worked fine.
