The Pink Tax?

Recommended Posts

Ive heard about this but dismissed it as being the ramblings of rabid feminists looking to play the victim but you know what, I saw it in actin today.

The Tax not the rabid feminists..

2 almost identical items with the only difference being the colour. One is grey and one is Pink. The pink being aimed at women is 40p more expensive for what is essentially the same product (Gripfill by the way). The staff at the shop said its the same product, does the same job ,is the same size weight and has exactly the same amount of product in it . It just happens to be pink.

I dont know about anyone else but im just shocked and furious at this.

Any father of daughters will have long been aware of what you call "the pink tax". Fortunately for me, my daughter always goes for the [less costly but no less quality] "blue/male" option.

I'm sure men's and women's razors  are actually different; whether or not this justifies the price difference I'm not sure though.

My first reaction was - what the hell's DADDY on about now????

Until I realised I'm paying a full £1 extra per item for Pink Gaffer Tape, Pink Tie Wraps & Pink Bondage Rope than if I bought the more common Black option :blush::nono:8)

(am I allowed to say option?)

Keep safe out there 🧐
