I suspect the comment is about the high level management and directorship of the BBC, not the on air talent.

perhaps she should look closer to home, in the cabinet, before criticising other organisations for being elitist. Loads of old etonians and very wealthy ex investment bankers (although one of them curiously only seems to mention his humble origins).

Well, a very funny thing (in a very ironical way) is that much of that lofty/ennobled/Etonian set of people at the top of the BBC, has been parachuted in by the Tories over the past few years. The news editorial line has been gradually shifting in accordance.

 

Dorries is just gaslighting. Or clueless, in a Raab way. Or both of course 😁
