Magneteer 20 #2 Posted October 5, 2021 It'll be no great loss, we'll manage without whatever is unavailable. Hopefully there won't be as much imported Chinese tat available for us to send to landfill. TV? Hardly watch it these days, it's dire. I'd suggest a good walk with some friends/family and call somewhere for a few beers, then back home for that pan of Chilli con carne you made earlier. The_DADDY 3,461 #3 Posted October 5, 2021 I've been telling people ALL YEAR about upcoming shortages but I was dismissed as a conspiracy theorist by most. The rest did the right thing and prepared bit by bit each week. As for us? Store room is stocked Food cupboards are full to bursting Both freezers are fully stocked. Christmas at THE_DADDY 's House will be a very merry one as usual.
 Share this content via...

Annie Bynnol 612 #12 Posted October 5, 2021 Santa cannot work here anymore as his Schengen Passport is no longer valid. The Brexit Deal has no provision for the required reindeer veterinary paperwork. The Northern Ireland Protocol requires that each present has to be checked by Customs to establish that invoices for VAT and tariffs have been paid and collect the Duty payable. Santa will have to calculate the following costs and submits the paper work for each trip to GB and NI: delivery to the EU border -commissions (except buying commission) -royalties and licence fees you have paid on the imported goods as a condition of sale -containers and packing -any proceeds of resale the seller will get -goods and services you give to the seller for free He will need to work out transaction values by adding the value of any materials or components you gave to the processor, to the processing costs. Be familiar and comply with the Taxation (Cross-border Trade) Act 2018 & The Customs (Import Duty) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 and the Union Customs Code (UCC) applies. Regulations 952/2013 & 2015/2477. Santa cannot be bothered.
 Share this content via...
