Should Vicars Be Gambling On Game Shows

Just watching Beat The Chasers and there’s a Vicar taking part playing on the game show......

 

I thought “Jesus” was against gambling maybe I’m wrong !!...

 

Bradley Walsh asked him “how many do you get in your congregation his reply to his question was “30” !!!!....

 

Are churches really struggling that much that they need to go on gambling shows to drum up support !!!!...

 

I used to go to Sunday School when I was a kid I was taught by strict Sunday School teacher’s that gambling was a sin and I could never understand the hymn.....

I always used to question why would they be going into war when they are supposed to be Christians and believe in God and Jesus Christ.....

 

Shouldn’t they be turning the other cheek !!!!...

Who is gambling?  Are they putting up their own money?  

 

Regardless, for those who choose to believe in the fairy tales about some supreme being  - the word of "Jesus" has been interpreted and twisted and reimagined many many times over the past 2021 years.

 

I hardly think appearing on Entertainment game show is some great sin.

blasphemy

chance-expecting money for nothing is as bad as gambling

pride

greed

wrath

envy

lust

gluttony 

sloth

 

and today:

Watching TV on a Sunday

Work on a Sunday-Recording on a Sunday

Travel on a Sunday

Fun and laughter on a Sunday

Quite correct  although greed might have played part of his decision to go for the larger amount of money.

 

Gambling being against the teaching of your religion didn't work out to bad for Mukhtar Mohidin in 1994.

17.9 million on't lottery wasn't a bad pick up.

There was one vicar on the Chase over a year ago and when he was asked what he was going to do with his winnings, he said it was going towards repairing the church roof.  I’m not religious, but I’m sure his God would have approved.

More Vicars should go on game shows and win money,  it'll pay for all the lead whats been nicked  by little blighters off the Church roofs.
