It was 73/74, That season we played Leeds away on the Monday and at home the night after. Drew 0-0 away and lost 2-0 at home.

Trevor Hockey wasn't playing.

The game you're talking about was in 1972 we lost that one 2-0 as well.

Yes Padders, we had some characters in those days and Trevor Hockey was certainly one of them.

Apparently his instruction was to 'battle for the ball and give it to Currie!'

He was certainly good at battling and became a crowd favourite because of it.
