Actual 'Charity Shop's' ? Jumble sales were every where. Church Hall's, School Hall's , Boy Scouts huts etc etc. I can remember a few 2nd hand Clothes shops, Collene's London Rd. and the Rag and Tag market of course. The first Charity shop I can remember would be 'The Blind Shop' on Cecil Sq (Dan Bradbury's old workshop) But always thought it was more like a big sorting office.
