Can anyone help, just recently when editing photos on my laptop using the Windows app, I get random blocks of green all over the photo and I can't get rid of it, consequently the photo is spoilt.

It's only been happening a few weeks and I'm not doing anything different. I would appreciate any advice please.

What is your editing process in the Windows app, are you just adding filters and effects? Are your photos loading in the software ok before any editing? Have you tried any other software?

My first thoughts are it sounds like a software/graphics issue on your laptop.

Hi Deziner, the blocks appear when I open the photo to edit, I don't do a lot, just tidying up but that's when the green appears, I'll be trying other software but if you have any recommendations, please share, and thanks for you reply.

Hi carly167, a program called Gimp is the most recommended free photo editing software, it would definitely be worth a try and there are others, I can't vouch personally for it as I have an Adobe subscription and use Photoshop and Lightroom etc. See how you go, on if you still have problems you will know it is probably your laptop graphics card or something playing up.

Download available here:
