Keir Starmer And Angela Rayner Are Scum, Are You?

Pfft, why ever not? Labour have been living off Thatcher since 1971.

Like water off a ducks back to true Tories.

The Liberal Democrats were to the left of Labour in the days of Tony Blair. Not sure where they are now.

Most MPs are well educated university graduates. So what separates them?

Getting back to the thread title, why are some 'scum' but not others?

Should a party or a leader be judged on what happened 20 years ago?

Starmer is called Tory-lite and a Blairite. The party changed direction over 20 years ago and finally became electable - but some Labour supporters can't get over that.

Blair cleaned up thatchers and Majors  mess and looks like Starmer will have to clean up Johnsons mess.

Alternative reading: isn't it always the Conservatives who have to clean up Labour's profligacy and financial incompetence?

Yes apparently it's a tradition for an out going Chancellor to leave the incoming Chancellor a good luck message.  Regarding the note left by the Labour fool in 2010 it  led to David Cameron winning a majority in the 2015 General Election because he showed everyone he met the note which made the Labour party unelectable.

It was a foolish note to leave, the Tory Chancellor will not be so stupid.

But if he were honest, the situation will be much worse.

So taking over a strong economy and handing over to the next government a note saying 'there is no money' was clearing up mess?

Absolutely - though the Sun, Express and all the others will be doing everything possible to convince their readers otherwise.

Today's Rayner Rant is pretty good.  She's having a go at the Tories giving their donor "mates" (her words) contracts.

Thank goodness there's no hypocrisy there......

A businessman who benefited from a lucrative contract with the government for vaccines - and was later ennobled by Tony Blair - has donated half a million pounds to Labour

2011.

Ranyer was first elected in 2014 and only recently became deputy leader. So not really hypocritical, no. Unless the same happens on her watch.

All the above posts pre-date Friday's tragic event.

Maybe politicians might now temper their outbursts and language?

Maybe then there'd be fewer attacks.

If only @Jeffrey Shaw, if only. Give it two weeks max before the opposition benches are back at it and then claiming victim status when it's in their own face.
