tandy 10 #1 Posted September 25, 2021 Can anyone advice on filling in the online state pension form please? I have been seperated from my husband for over 16 years but there isn't a section on the form for seperated people just a divorced section, which is baffling me...! Thanks in advance
 Share this content via...

Thanks in advance As you are married you tick that box. It will make no difference as you are currently approaching retirement age -66, your pension is based only on your contributions and maternity/child care years*. You will get the full pension if you have 35 years(there are two maximums!). Ask for a Pension forecast as this will tell you how many years you have. You will need expert advice: *as some NI contributions payments can count towards your pension and can be inherited if you forecast is low. as some rules are different if your husband started his pension before 2016. if either of you were/are self-employed. Thirsty Relic 214 #5 Posted November 5, 2021 I suggest you fill and send off the form asap, as reports suggest you can expect to wait MONTHS until you finally get it, as DWP are experiencing delays that they say is due to Covid and staff shortages! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-58598046 Women seem to be especially affected by this, but all affected can apply for Advanced Payments if in need: https://www.theguardian.com/money/2021/oct/16/uk-state-pension-payment-delays-age-uk-dwp All the best! crookesey 635 #6 Posted November 5, 2021 Just a bit of advice to prospective governmental form fillers. Answer all questions correctly Never try to answer a question that hasn’t been asked Never try to be of help, they don’t need your help Never tell them that they are wrong, they very rarely are
 Share this content via...
