Longcol   600 #6 Posted September 25, 2021 Followed Ashurst's Owls the length and breadth of the country in the old 3rd division. For a guy who as a player was a dour full back he tried to play attacking football - when it clicked it was great - but we always seemed suspect in the centre of defence and let in no end of soft goals. But thanks Len for Wylde, Tynan, Hope, Bradshaw, Leman, Rushberry, Walden, Johnson.  Always seemed to play better away in a small ground where travelling fans could whip up an atmosphere - hard at Hillsborough when the ground was well over three quarters empty.  RIP Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
