crookesey   635 #4 Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) He was sort of Del Boy and Pele both rolled into one, seeing a photo of him following his second stroke I have an idea that he wouldn’t be that concerned of his demise, very much like The Saint with cancer, 81 and 82 respectively is a decent result.  Just remembered his ‘goal drought’ remark, he reckoned that it was the worst fifteen minutes of his life. Jim Hardie   527 #5 Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) Chelsea, AC Milan, Spurs, West Ham, England U23s, England. He scored on his debut for all of them. I think I read somewhere that he scored in every game he played in at Bramall Lane. He didn’t do so well at Hillsborough but did score a hat-trick for Chelsea there when he was 17. RIP Jimmy, what a great life. Edited September 19, 2021 by Jim Hardie
 Share this content via...

crookesey   635 #9 Posted September 25, 2021 (edited) I’m sure that you guys have noticed this, the ‘characters’ such  as Greavesey don’t come from the Premier/top League these days, they appear on our tv’s as presenters following careers in the lower divisions. Or perhaps the top ex players that have personalities don’t need the cash, who knows?
