As you seem to think they are way ahead of Sheffield it's clear they haven't been "held back" by a charity trying to help desperate refugees integrate into our culture.

We have currently got people in Sheffield in overcrowded housing who are being told to use their dining room as a bedroom . Where are these homes for refugees coming from ?

Now I do realise Joker that  we might not have been frogmarched down to the local mosque but why is it that when you see a white woman in an Islamic country they always wear headcovering? I think it is to respect their customs, which is good so why can't they treat us with that same respect and adopt our customs?

Which customs of ours (white christian?) do wish "them" to adopt? Do you actually mean you want Muslims to not practice their customs in the UK?

When 'Brits' as you call them, move to other countries they do no expect to be given houses, benefits, free healthcare  and everything provided free.  Your comments about  jacket potatoes and the Mail show what you are.

We're talking here about refugees - people applying for asylum in the UK due to persecution in their own country.  They are not "scroungers", but people who need help.

 

The government funds them for a while, via local authorities, while their application is processed.

We are indeed talking about refugees, that's who the City of Sanctuary charity is set up to help - people fleeing violence and persecution and applying for asylum here.   

 

To speak of "their culture", as though refugees were a monolithic group, is a mistake.

 

If you look at the 2020 asylum statistics, people came from all over: Iran, Albania, China, Afghanistan, Nigeria, El Salvador... they do not have the same culture.
