Bad Power was mentioned as one of the replies from experts to questions about red flashing lights on TV,

son looked at the electrics board in the meter cupboard,  all in order there.

They probably meant that the power supply circuit within the TV is not working properly. This is often due to old electrolytic capacitors. Sounds like you need to get it repaired. Here is an example:

Thanks Andy,  my son has asked me to buy a new TV which I will probably do this weekend especially if it means opening this one - I'm worried that if the problem isn't in the TV the same thing could happen to a new one.

Crooksey 🤣@ you.

Son has spoken to Technica and they say it's a circuit board fault,  we are going to buy a new TV this weekend,  any recommendations would be appreciated.🙂
