Gentlemen's Toilets - Northfield Road

Recommended Posts

I recently came across the gentlemen's toilets on Northfield Road. Quite interesting I thought. I was able to walk inside and look around and it is mostly intact! It's quite a quirky little facility.

Does anyone know when it stopped being used? It's not closed physically but I assume the council no longer maintain it. It's such a shame the council are cutting all of these amenities. It's sad that we are losing phone boxes but people will always need to use the lavatory.

Its been derelict for years and it is closed physically its just vandals have kicked down the plywood board covering the entrance and also damaged the insides as well ,  but i agree Sheffield should still have public facilities after all where are people meant to go when caught short ?

It was built for STD, the old tram terminus was just there.  It dates from a time when people had bladders.
