Our Planet Is On Fire

With regards to overpopulation, I've read somewhere that 1 first world person with all the usual mod cons uses up more resources than 40 third world people, (and many more if we take into account the super rich with their many homes, superyachts and continual air travel etc.)  .

So if we're talking about a cull, it's the rich that have to go first, followed by you and me.

The meek shall inherit the earth.

Not disagreeing with you there Anna. It's a bit like Baron 99 said in post number 23, and I can remember when Prince Charles didn't like the washing hanging out on his estate workers lines so he ordered them all to spin dry. Great for the environment that one. I wouldn't give a fig if he didn't keep going on about the environment, but he does.

There's a  reason the most vocal global warmers are the ones that do the most polluting.

AlGore and his family Occidental Oil and Mining fortune.

Greta in her excellent plastic racing yacht.

Celebs with their waterfront multi-mansions, yachts, private jet planes. Charles and his Palaces. Especially the Pope, who has his own country, his own Pretorian Guard, and his own Palace stocked with servants.

But the sheep haven't yet figured it out!

So you plebes out there, put a brick in your toilet tank,  turn down the heat, and take a Saturday night bath instead of those water wasting showers.

Lol

Relax Cuttsie. it's not a binary choice between one extreme, shutting down the factories and transportation facilities, that bring you your bicycles, TVs, appliances, furniture, and food fresh  from around the world to your local Tesco and feeding the World's hungry.

Or, just saying I don't give a damn about anybody else,

Truth is Mother Nature is not the kind old Nursery Rhyme Lady, she's made out to be.

She is constantly sending cancers, plagues, floods, forest fires, droughts, earthquakes, tsunamis. hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, landslides, heatwaves, coldwaves, and even the odd asteroid that kills 90% of all living things.

And hugging a tree, or sending $trillions to the U.N. won't change her.

Humans have been improving their environment, since the first cavewoman swept out her cave. Even animals clean out their nests, all without government regulation.

We’re saved now. The BBC has flown journalists all over the world to report of progress towards reducing carbon emissions.

Well done.

It's just like Good Morning Britain's weather woman, Laura Tobin, who is a massive advocate in promoting the climate change line & why we are all contributing to the problems & how we should be tackling the issues of global warming.  She hardly ever does her weather report just from the studio.

Yesterday she was out & about in Norfolk, today she's doing the weather, (the actual UK map graphics are from the studio in London),  from the Islands of Scilly!

Now her, a camera man & a sound engineer would have hardly travelled from Norfolk to the Scilly Isles on foot or the bike The Goodies used to ride, would they?

Watch a few of the many hilarious "extreme" weather reports on YouTube, and never be fooled again by your telly talking heads.

"OK Anderson we've got enough. The helicopter, food truck, camera men and the make up crew are ready to head back to the hotel".
