good job they aint got the big helter skelter ,then,such a pity for the kids though,plus theres loads on this weekend theres big shows,football ect.but thats the english weather for you,pay your dosh book and pray.

But Sheffield is 70 miles from the sea??? Just gives the residents permission to treat the Peace Gardens like Skegness sea front! Sheffield will never be the city of culture?

Wasn't the idea for Sheffield by the Seaside copied from the Paris-Plages? Difficult to take a claim that an artificial city beach undermines claims of culture seriously when Paris has them.

i think its great,but many folk put off  by the cost,although free,theres lots of rides and stalls at a that cost and with money short,its difficult for many,but in my mind its a great treat on a sunny day.plus entertainments free.
