Yellow Tram Route

Recommended Posts

Like I said the tram train has to be the starting point for the exercise as those times are fixed and not flexible so these would remain as is

People seem to forget that when we had a 10 minute frequency off peak the yellow and blue trams were not timetabled to follow each other  all the way from the city out to Hillsbrough

The former ten minute frequency on the Blue and Yellow meant that the Cathedral crossover is occupied 24 times an hour by passing trams and  another equivalent 4  longer occupation by the Gleadless. The TramTrain  planned another extra equivalent of 6TT long movements and at fixed times meant was just too much to provide a robust timetable with enough slack to deal with everything else.

The timing of all the crossover movements must also be spread out to avoid congestion so this impacts on the Blue route timetable which causes the different gaps in the services.

If they could they would but they can't.

Seems to be some problem with yellow route again. No trams from cricket stop to meadowhall and tram train suspended. Anyone knows what's the problem?

They are not having the best time if it.

Yellow route was down for hours yesterday due a tram fault on same section of track.

Malin Bridge service was down for a bit today as an ambulance was called for a passenger

That tweet only says problem around attercliffe. It's been like this for a while now and seems to be more than some small easy quick to fix problem.

and don't tell me the Dot Matrix continued to pretend there were trams running and if you failed to notice that the rolling message was not telling you to wear a mask you would be hanging around waiting for a non existent tram
