So they legally had to hold meetings like this and people are moaning they had to pay room hire?

I know but its a bit poor that a city council hasn't got at least one building it can house large meetings in.  It isn't Dibley!

Which building do you think has a meeting room as big as the Ponds Forge sports hall?

And they do have at least one building it can hold large meetings in. I assume from next week onwards they go back to using it.

Fair comment, they just built, paid for (well nearly) then either sold or knocked down suitable venues.

But, as you point out, if they haven't got something suitable they have to rent somewhere. Doesn't sound like they're getting mates-rates though!

You mean the City Hall which is owned by the same company that Ponds Forge is?😂😂😂 and can you tell us which sports halls out there are as big as the Ponds Forge ones and work up some costings?

Try again. You are actually unbelievable, the other day you were criticising the council for NOT spending money on a big screen that would have led to violence, arrests and a massive clean up bill 😂

Just need Ormester now for the full set.

Is this the same Ponds Forge that the council recently bailed out to the tune of around 17 million pounds ( of tax payers money ) ?

So 100% of the council spending decisions are wrong? Is that what you're saying?

The government required the council to start meeting face to face.

The council required a large venue to accomodate the councillors and staff safely.

To do this they hired premises and facilities from the local charity the Sheffield City Trust.

at a cost of £10,000 per meeting. Does not sound good value for money to me.
