mozza_ev 0 #25 Posted September 16, 2021 You have to remember most of the people living in Mosborough have been there 5 minutes, and don't seem to realise there shiny houses where built on green fields and for those dumb enough just up from the British Oak are built on old pit workings... Same at Plumbley.... Maybe if people used the pub it wouldnt have been shut and then demolished... So they demoiished it, it was an eyesore. Mosborough used to be nice, now its just one large housing estate
 Share this content via...

Quote Councillor Tony Downing said: “This irresponsible action can be seen by future developers that it is okay not to abide by planning regulations and rules and by the public as bringing the planning service into question. I’m going to vote against the officer’s recommendation.” Quite!
 Share this content via...
HeHasRisen 3,371 #29 Posted May 27, 2022 I dont disagree they broke planning regs, quite clearly getting them to rebuild a derelict pub was the ludicrous solution though.
 Share this content via...

Same thing happened to Frecheville Pub on the Birley estate. Unless Councils take serious action, then all the developers will do as they please. It might seem ludicrous but it has happened before, albeit in London, and the subject building was altogether more interesting and worth 'saving'... HeHasRisen 3,371 #32 Posted May 27, 2022 Just because it happened once, elsewhere, under different circumstances (according to the article I posted anyway), it should be the same punishment here?
 Share this content via...
