If any of you good people are on this forum  please be aware that Nursery St  and Stanley Street are not race tracks to see how fast your "souped up" cars can go, nor to see how loud your "small male appendage compensation kit" exhausts can blast/backfire away at all hours of the day and night.  Thanks.

When I saw the  title, I thought the thread was going to be a about parking  at side of Imrans.  The parking is unbelievable on a weekend, bang on the junction and both sides of Willey street.

 

Back on topic, I agree with you about silly exhausts etc. It's  basically attention seeking by individuals that still have an immature mind.

 

I am guessing you live in one of the flats down nursery street?

Both topics have been complained about to police and council. 

It shows just how much an embarassment South Yorkshire's police FARCE  & Sheffield City CLOWNCIL are. Both these issues happen YARDS away from the city's main police station & nothing gets done. Sorry, once in a blue moon they'll hold some token enforcement day which goes back to the problem the following day.

Why is the proximity of the police station relevant? Police stations aren't full of cops waiting to spring into action, they are normally all at incidents or travelling to/fro.

Also its now debatable if its actually the main station in Sheffield, Shepcote Lane is the main custody suite. Snig Hill is generally full of office staff.

not sure there are many areas of Sheffield (or any other major city tbf) where this isn't the case.

true some roads seem to attract more of these cretins than others but until the authorities get serious about after market super loud exhausts and  general speeding, nothing will change.

 

Last time i rang 111 to report someone doing laps of my estate, well in excess of the speed limit with the exhaust noise rattling my windows,  the operators question was "how can i be sure the car is exceeding the speed limit?" !!
