Plenty of tanalised softwood sleepers around, but I want oak. if you want real oak be prepared to pay , timber merchants at the moment have massive price rises, we just quoted someone for 48m of oak 6x3 4m lengths just over 5k about £100 perm , Alan & orr chesterfield or Arnold lavers will be special order, dont know anyone that keeps stock. buy good tanalised ones from timber specialists on herries road and once they weather down they look like old oak.
