How many do you know dying of a short term illness caused by a virus that wasn't known about two years ago?

None.

Hmmm ...

Speed limits, driving licenses, no driving under the influence, building regulations, gun licenses, restrictions on who can do electrical and gas work, no smoking restrictions, ...

It's amazing the number of infringements of civil liberties we all suffer for the health of others.

All of these are restrictions in particular situations not infringments on long held freedoms, an analogy that only a moron could come up with.

It's not an analogy.

Opium and cocaine were legal up until a hundred years ago.

God it’s tiresome this thread.

There’s a virus going round the entire world.

it’s not a conspiracy.

there’s a jab you can have that will help get rid of

it.

if you don’t have it you might get ill / it could be bad / It most likely won’t be.

if you have the jab it helps get rid of the circus we’re in now.

or you can not have it and moan that almost everyone else in the entire world is panicking about nothing.

fs sake.

Well what a fantastic day we've had.

Took both kids out, maskless of course and apart from the odd funny look and under the breath muttering we've had no problem at all.

Pity it won't last as we all know we are heading for another lockdown but for now at least seeing people's faces, smiles etc had been a breath of fresh air

What tosh.

Where did you take them.People have been walking round in the open air for months sans mask.

So where did you take the kids out to.

A bus ride,Morrisons,Tesco’s.?

You just make things up for effect.

My today’s experience is the same as for many months.

Supermarket - majority continuing to wear mask.

Outdoors ,very few wearing a mask.

The severity could be seen as conspiracy, remember in the early days when conspiracy theorists were called all the names under the sun for saying the virus was a shoo in for a vaccine and vax passports to follow, that day has arrived.

Who denied a vaccine would be developed for covid?

Did anyone say it would be more or less forced on people by (initially) coercion?

Will people's lives be restricted if they choose no?

They will, and I’m not happy about that. But there are also other people’s lives who might also be restricted by them choosing no.

Yes - our lives are restricted in all sorts of ways  - always have been.

You still have a choice whether or not to be vaccinated.
