Can someone tell me the route from Hillsborough to Chapel St Leonards with no motorway involved please?

Did you go to Google Maps and put the details in? It pops up with a route skirting around Lincoln. The A1 between Worksop and Markham Moor is not a motorway. What is your issue with motorways?

Google maps, type Chapel St Leonards in the search bar, click get directions, click the 3 dots at the top of the screen and select avoid motorways. It'll direct you down the a57 and a1

Easy, out of Hillsborough, up Herries Rd.

All the way to Attercliffe Rd, left up towards J34.

3rd junction under Tinsley viaduct - Bawtry Rd. (A631)

follow Bawtry Rd  all the way to Bawtry it self.

slight right then left onto Gainsbrough Rd (still A631)

at Gainsbrough you have the choice -

Straight ahead - Market Rasen, Louth, and drop into Chapel St Leonards that way.

or take a right (A156)  as far as A1500 cut across country missing Lincoln altogether.

join the A158 at Langworth follow  main Skeg route  pick up Chapel St Leonards signs from there.

Happy daze biking over to chapel and sitting outside Smugglers eating  black pudding, peas, & mint sauce.

Enjoy.

Forget Chapel St Leonards, it’s the pits.
Two miles up the coast is Anderby Creek. Free carpark, beautiful beach, and the world’s first cloud observation platform. And if all that isn’t enough, the drainage museum awaits the discerning visitor.

Get onto parkway heading out towards M1

Turn off and join A57 heading towards Mosborough.

Stay on A57 east

Cross over the M1

Stay on A57 to and past Worksop.

Join A1 South briefly then rejoin A57 to Lincoln

Have 40p ready for Dunham Bridge Toll charge (free for motorbikes)

When you see Lincoln Cathedral up ahead go left on the ring road around Lincoln.

At the third? roundabout go left onto A158 all the way to Skeggy.

It's nice run and no average speed check cameras.
