*Wallace*   333 #25 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Two thugs on a moped tried robbing jewellery from someone in Meadowhall car park yesterday.  MEADOWHALL CAR PARK INCIDENT YESTERDAY Police were called to Meadowhall’s orange car park at 2.57pm this afternoon following reports of a robbery. An off-duty officer reported that two men, riding a suspected stolen moped, had attempted to steal jewellery from a member of the public. When challenged, the men became aggressive and were subsequently involved in an altercation with the officer and several members of the public. Numerous resources were deployed to the scene and one man, in his 20s, was detained. Enquiries are ongoing at this time. He will appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (23 June) charged with attempted robbery, handling stolen goods and possession of class B drugs. The charges relate to an incident on Saturday 19 June when police were called to a car park at Meadowhall following reports of a robbery. Enquiries remain ongoing at this time.
