I went to a "mainstream" school with a "special needs Unit" up Norton from September 1987 to the end of April 1992, and I'm not kidding when I say that if I hadn't become besties with my ex, I would've walked out at lunch time on the first day and refused to go back the bullying was THAT bad!   Edited June 3, 2021 by Mr Allen More detail. Maybe they didnt attend school at all, drug addicts for parents. I know of a few drug addicts that have had their children taken away. But my point is we live ammong people with severe troubles and they dont get the help that they need. Anna B   1,414 #27 Posted June 3, 2021 Delirium could certainly be a cause, and not the fault of the patient, but is this really that common or what people think of when violence towards medics is considered?  I'm thinking more of the physically healthy scrotes that throw rocks and stones etc at ambulances and attack medics. Could it be that they think the ambulance contains valuable drugs that they're eager to get their hands on. Just a thought.
 Share this content via...
RollingJ   2,040 #28 Posted June 3, 2021 A very sensible reply, @Anna B, and those were the scum I was thinking about.  The delirium issue, I would think, is a possible issue, but I wouldn't think it was that common.
 Share this content via...
Guest sibon   #29 Posted June 3, 2021 It’s a shocking thing, but it’s nothing new.  I recall visiting the Priory Hotel in the late 80s to phone the love of my life. While I was in there a guy collapsed, totally unconscious. So I ended up phoning an ambulance, rather than my beloved.  The ambulance crew were quick on the scene, but wouldn’t enter the pub without a police escort. It was policy at the time, because too many crews had been lured to pubs and ambushed.  Inexplicable really.
 Share this content via...

Its not the cause - plenty of people manage to get drunk without behaving like this. If you behave like this there is something wrong with you. PRESLEY   1,229 #34 Posted June 3, 2021 Well as we all know, now the crews are wearing body cams, so when they are been assaulted ect, hopefully it will be good evidence for the Police to bring charges and put them in front of a judge to get their just deserves.
 Share this content via...
