Hillsborough Trial Collapses

Recommended Posts

It's in the Hillsborough Report the Lepp.was under it's stated capacity at the time of the disaster.

The lack of crowd management by the police within and outside the ground was the  cause of criminally inept policing

It should have been obvious from the start that the ground was no where near big enough and therefore should never have been held there.

It’s best to keep quiet when you know nothing about the subject. Semi-finals have been all ticket for about 100 years.

If I remember correctly Hillsboro was always chosen as a neutral ground for Semis.

Out of curiosity, anybody know how many Semi Finals were held there.

Villa hd the most at 55.

Hillsborough was next with 34..

I have it in mind also held a league cup final reply too

I went to two semi finals at Hillsborough.

Capacity then was 50,174 in 1981.

Had more seats than any other english ground

Thing was crushing was almost part of the culture then.

In retrospect I had been in very risky spots at Oxford ( of all places) Barnsley,Burnley and Rotherham.

The Barnsleys one was the only one where panic was not far away .

Once the crush eased you immediately put it out of your mind

Who knows anything about the subject. I have never seen so many armchair experts, but did a lot of fans arrive with no tickets or has another expert lied to me?

How on earth do you come to that solution.

You do realize it was under the capacity when the diaster happened?

Err, because people got crushed.

i think you will find, the end where it happened was way over the limit, but why did it go ahead with no stadium safety certificate.?

Untrue.

The Leppings Lane end was several hundred below it's capacity.

It's in the Hillsborough Report

It's only been able to be reported today and after the second inquiry that the missing log books for the event had been found in the basement at ...Snig Hill police HQ.
