wtf keeps letting off fireworks night after night, starting at midnight ? sounds like Crookesmoor / Upperthorpe. I have reported this illegal activity, but of course no-one is interested.

Yes, it's been every night over the last week or so.  Brain-dead inconsiderate numpties (and of course 'empty vessels make the most noise').

I live at Gleadless, and often hear fireworks from somewhere at 10pm or later. Not sure where they are coming from.

Just seen this.

OWNER OF CROOKES SOCIAL CLUB APOLOGISES FOLLOWING LATE COMMOTION AFTER WEDDING AT VENUE

A wedding in Sheffield ended with police being called after complaints about people honking their horns and setting off fireworks.

The owner of Crookes Social Club on apologised to residents for the commotion which followed celebrations at the venue on Sunday.

“We were given all sorts of assurances that this wouldn’t happen, and we’re deeply sorry for the disturbance,” he said.

"It wasn’t people attending the function, which was limited to 30 guests in keeping with lockdown restrictions. It was an entourage which turned up at the end of the night to escort the married couple away and decided to start letting off fireworks and making this horrendous noise in the street."

“We called police, who said they had already been notified by a neighbour, and handed over the details of the contacts we had so they could investigate."

"From the comments we’ve had apparently this party went on through various parts of Sheffield causing a commotion as they headed to their final destination."

"I’m truly very sorry, but at the end of the day we’re just a little club trying to do anything we can to survive and I really don’t know what else we could have done on this occasion.”

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said it was notified of a disturbance outside the social club.

“The disturbance is believed to have lasted for about half an hour. Enquiries are continuing by the local Neighbourhood Team,” she added.

What type of people would do that?

As an aside, Side 1 Track 5 of the Fleetwood Mac album "Mirage" is good.
