Definately, like mentioned, there are some films that should be left alone.
 Share this content via...

I know they tried...sort of!  Maybe Alien could be remade, or a remake along the same lines (on the spaceship) Not the 'sort of' follow ons/prequel like Prometheus or (forgot the name 😂) I put it down to age, it will come to me! PRESLEY   1,228 #35 Posted September 26, 2021 Just watching Sean Connery in Diamonds are forever, I know they don't remake bond films as such but just replace the actors with a different story line but for my money there will only be one Bond as far as I'm concearnrd, that is Sean Connery not Poncy Roger Moore and the rest of the Mongrels. Simon Templer was Roger Moores roll, actually couldn't imagine Connery doing Templer, he is not Poncy enough.
 Share this content via...

Got to disagree with 'The 39 Steps' I think all of the films have merits of their own. The 1959 Kenneth More being my personal favourite, although for closeness to the book the 2008 film nearly has it. The 1935 Alfred Hitchcock film is what it is. I often feel the Robert Powell film doesn't deserve the slating it gets, come on it was 1978 and technically it was well done. We were lucky to see the Stage (comedy) version at the Lamproom Theater Barnsley a good few years ago. Shame I can't remember the name of the theater group or the players because they really need a mention.  The action, use of stage props & belly laughs throughout worked on stage. So why not yet another 39 Steps but a comedy version this time?  Keep safe.
 Share this content via...
