Len Badger has died. A fine defender and, by all accounts a fine man too.

Sad news.

Remember Len well from my younger days ,saw him many times on TV and also in local derbies, very good full back and highly rated by many, great servant to united, and a local lad, like Mel Sterland a darnall boy and played in the England youth in his formative years at both U 18 & U23 level must have clocked up around 500 games at the old cricket ground.

Very sad to hear

RIP Len

Condolances to his family

Oh dear.  One of my favourites.  How he never got a full England cap, I'll never know?

RIP.

A quality right back, loyal to the Blades and very popular with the fans. R.I.P Len.

I remember meeting Len when the pub he used to run (I forget the name) visited my local on a games night, lovely bloke and good company. RIP.

Another giant of our times. A hard-tackling, thoughtful and dependable player. Great servant to the club. Nothing but fond memories of watching him play.

A very very big loss to Sheffield football.

Local lad who was genuinely proud to wear the shirt. Gave his all in every match and would have been in the World Cup team if he'd played for a fashionable club.

Can still see him now up to his ankles in mud, ferociously tackling anybody who dared threaten his goal.

Condolences to his family and those close to him.

Thanks Len for all the wonderful performances and memories you gave me.

RIP mate, you really do deserve it.
