Other News channels also reported witnessing the French navy escorting inflatable boats filled with economic migrants into British waters.  There have been similar claims for several years that this has been happening.  Nigel Farage hasn't invented the story.

If we had a load of refugees/economic migrants/whatever in this country wanting to get to France by any illegal means necessary, would you try and stop them and how?

That's a fair comment.  I'd most likely  be happy that they are no longer a British problem just like I'm sure most French people feel about the current issue.  Drones could be used to identify where the economic migrants intend leaving the French coast from and the authorities could easily intercept them before they go far from the French coast. If the French had a will to prevent them leaving the French coast they most certainly could prevent the vast majority of economic migrants from doing so.  The UK government most certainly shouldn't be giving the French any money in a wasted attempt to get them to cooperate to stop the problem. At the end of the day the problem is not the UK's making because the UK has never been in the Schengen area or been involved in any Schengen agreements.  The UK government need to withdraw from the Refugee treaty because that agreement is no longer fit for purpose when we have international criminal gangs arranging the illegal passage of economic migrants in such large numbers that is happening today.

No there haven't, only reports of Farage's claims.

Lots of headlines about "shocking pictures" showing it in the Sun, Mail, Express and Telegraph... but when you look... none of the pictures show what is claimed!

No worries, you carry on cherry picking real news and fake news that you want to believe to suit your own anti Brexit and anti democratic agenda.

"A French warship has been accused of escorting a dinghy crammed with 13 migrants and leaving them with a TV news crew. "

Anyone can accuse anyone of anything... so where's the proof?

Oddly, the TV news crew managed to capture no footage, or photographs to back up their claims! :?

How do you explain that?

In post 202 you wrongly stated only Nigel Farage had made the claims.  The ITV film crew have no connection to Nigel Farage.  Why would ITV make up a story?

If you weren't a witness how can you say it didn't happen.

Have they? ITV haven't confirmed it.

There is no evidence ITV have made the claim, on the ITV website, or their twitter feed where the video's are shown.

At no point does the presenter make that claim, or show *any* evidence that would support it.

It's reported as such in the papers, but not by ITV themselves?

I'm saying there is no evidence! :loopy:

ITN news which provides the news coverage for ITV witnessed the French navy escorting a small boat containing economic migrants into UK waters and reported the incident on their evening news programs earlier this week.  I watched those programs and know what I saw and heard.  You continue to embarrass yourself by not acknowledging events and incidents that really happen simply because it doesn't suit your own personal agenda to do so.

It is a shame you have so frequently proved an unreliable witness. I don't believe you.
