Yes he is confident.  It's on record, last year, well before relegation was even a factor, well before Wilder left.  So the Blades & BDTBL carry on as normal, move on TOGETHER & not two separate entities of a football club with a ground owned by another company. 

 

On the subject of the £40 tickets.  Nobody has a gun held to their head, being forced to go.  Some will, most won't given relegation but on the the general subject of prices, not a lot has changed for Blades supporters. 

 

Had an email from SUFC last week & for the returning Blades fans who didn't request a refund on their previous season tickets, here's a couple of examples of what they'll pay for the coming season for the Kop:

Adults: £357.00

Over 60's / Disabled: £245.00

 

For years our season tickets have always been realistically priced at The Lane, even when they have been increased, its always seem affordable & reasonable increases.  Now back to SWFC. 

 

I seem to remember Owls fans on another thread, think it was back in 2018 or 2019 complaining that they were being charged Premiership prices for Championship football.  Well let us know if you're now being charged Premiership prices for Division 1 football? 

 

Out of the two Sheffield clubs, I think everyone knows which is the most financially viable.  At least our accountants know the address of the building where they have to send the club accounts.

Your ground is mortgaged so you don't officially own it, our is owned by a company under a separate name only.

 

You say you're more financially viable so perhaps you can explain how you are going to service your wage bill and the huge loan if match day income is reduced?

 

It is your choice if you pay the 40 quid or not but for a club that you claim has priced things realistically why this amount for a dead rubber of a game at the end of an absolutely appalling season, they should be paying fans £40 to attend.

Sorry i thought this thread was about Wednesday's situation so how does United's finances effect them?.

Well there's the parachute payments, reckoned to be in the region of £30 million; the sales of players that we no longer want or can afford / are wanted by Premiership clubs, so there's the saving in salaries for starters. 

 

As for BDTBL the mortgage payments will continue to be paid but at least as with all mortgages, that could be paid off at some stage or remortgage as an asset.  As SWFC, as a club have sold their ground, that is an asset that no longer exists, does it? 

 

Or prrhaps Mr DC will contact himself at his other company & speak to himself about a remortgage.  Then decide what amount of interest to pay then subsequently charge himself?

But you missed one of my points off.  How much are SWFC charging fans to attend Hillsborough next season?  Are you still talking Premiership prices for Division 1 football?  That's the bottom line.

You borrowed heavily from Australian company McQuarrie against future Premier League revenue, your parachute payments are gone sunshine. Your players have had an appalling season, there won't be that many takers and they'll know you have to unload. If the mortgage could be paid off why take it out in the first place.

 

That doesn't explain why a club you says prices games "realistically" is suddenly charging 40 quid for a non event.

 

Next years ticket prices at SWFC haven't been announced yet and I don't have a crystal ball handy, I missed off your point because there isn't an answer as of yet. Can I ask who at SWFC was paying Premier League prices as in crowds of around 23k there were 21k ST holders who paid an average of around £23 per game.

My reply is how ironic from a fan who's chairman can't even pay the players wages but gets £2.5m in rent from the club.

About Wednesday but started by a United fan, I've asked the question many times and still haven't received an answer.

By the way I got a 24 hour ban the first day back on here for one poster spitting the dummy out after being corrected on a non fact he posted so I don't hold out much hope for it lasting long.

The other problem is people crying about "digs" but it's only banter when they do it.

Never ever got personal on here but got plenty of bans.
