Putin's Wargame - Ukraine

Recommended Posts

Looks like the former KGB spy Putin has sent troops to the Russian/ Ukraine border I doubt they are their for an holiday or admiring the views. I think Putin's aims is to recreate the Soviet Union too many left the motherland to become independent not able to influence counties for his liking the break up of the U.S.S.R never went down well . The plan seems to be cut their water and power supplies and impose an blockaded. So who will fire that first bullet that sets it all off?

The last time U.S. Democrats were in power, Putin invaded Crimea unopposed, Syria crossed Obama's Red Line without consequence, North Korea and Iran  were screaming "Death to America and Israel.".

Now Joe Biden is back in power, China is on the move again in the Taiwan Strait, Iran is making war noises, and Putin is moving on Ukraine.

The totalitarians know that there's no will left in the West to stop them, because they can count on their leftist cousins to make excuses for them.

"You wanna start WW3 over............./ (fill in the gap, Taiwan, Iraq, Ukraine, Syria and maybe even Israel)

The dogs of war smell weakness. History repeats!

We're in the midst of some of the most right wing governments in my lifetime, all of which have done precisely nothing other than legitimize these totalitarians.

Trump publicly stated he trusted Putins word over his own secret service, North Korea's Kim "is a great guy, doing a great job", President Xi "We love each other".

Issues around Iraq, Syria a result of actions insisted on, by a right wing government...

...but yeah, it's all the lefts fault.

Check out the body bag count under Obama and under your hated nemesis Trump.

A simple focused drone strike against the Mad Mullah's mad terrorist Solomeini was considered a "war crime" by the International Left, but resulted in Iran quieting down,  The totalitarian communists were fighting trade sanctions instead of looking for war.in the good old days of Trump.

Read the ancient, "Art of War" by Sun Tzu.

Trump used the carrot (flattery) and stick (immediate response) approach to diplomacy which keep the world at peace (and eliminated the ISIS Caliphate)

Now all bets are off (again) Lol

Trump massively increased the number of bombs dropped, more than Obama and Bush combined in Yemen...

...while removing any accountability re: civilian deaths:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-47480207

So we can't check out the body bag count, only bombs dropped.

All things being equal, the count is significantly higher for Trump!

Shame it only bolstered their hold on power.

(and eliminated the ISIS Caliphate)

Categorically false. The Trump administration mostly finished the job, but the Obama administration launched the campaign against the Islamic State, killed more fighters and removed much of their ability to generate income from oil (operation Tidal Wave II), long before Trump took office.

Why are we appeasing a murderous leader like Putin, who is so uncertain of his political and personal future that he orders the death of people who report and challenge his views? As unpopularity within his country increases he passes laws to extend his protection by awarding himself leadership until 2038.

However Putin is, like Hitler, predictable.

So predictable that he can be relied on to be unable to feed his own people despite being the richest country in the world in terms of natural resources. Predictable to the extent that successive attempts at controlling his neighbours has cost him dearly in lives, money and global political capital.

The American and therefore European strategy of hegemony and financial dependence works hand in hand with Putin's desire for military medalling to create a stagnant Russia.

With Putin in charge the embarrassing decay of conventional military ability continues and reduces the threat to western Europe.

Hey Magilla

Don't let facts clog up your feelings, Lol

CNN kept a running count of the body bag casualties of  U.S. Servicemen and Women, while Bush Junior was President. They lost interest when Obama was President. Lol

But that body count can easily be checked on the Official Congressional Record, and even on WIKI. (By .he way, Clinton Bombed more Sovereign States that any President in history, and those 911 pilots were being trained to fly those plains into New York, The White House, and The Pentagon, on Clinton's watch long before anybody had ever heard of Bush Jr. or Trump. lol

As for the ISIS State. That was the Official Name given to the new territory the radical islamists had overrun under Obama, in Syria and Iraq.

100% of the territory was taken back in 2019. - Here's a quote from the Australian Parliament Web Site;

"In March 2019 the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) was ousted from the last of the territory it had seized across Syria and Iraq. At its late 2014 peak, ISIS controlled large swathes of both countries, subsuming government resources and bureaucracy—along with industry, commerce, and agriculture. Millions of Syrians and Iraqis were forced to live and work under ISIS’s brutal rule and its extortive taxation regime, via which it generated the bulk of its income."

And stop citing newspaper and magazine articles. Nobody intelligent trusts the Main Stream Media these days.

Official cites only, please!

...and couldn't, when Trump was President, because that data was no longer in the public domain in any official capacity.

If you think dropping more bombs in 4 years, than Bush and Obama did in 8 (or in the case of Yemen, than both did in 16 years), could somehow result in a lower body count, then this :loopy: is the appropriate emoji.

Which in no way disputes that most of it was "taken back" before Trump was in office, there's a reason they state "last of".

Probably best not to cite a quote that directly refers to 4 newspaper articles then! :?

More nonsense.

Military casualties are recorded and published by the U.S. Congressional Reasearch Services. For all those not too lazy, or afraid to look!

Slippery  little critter aren't you.?

Here we are discussing American politics, where the "body bag count" as commonly refers to the returning of U.S. military Servicemen and women in body bags.

It was the subject of the CNN count down under G. W. Bush.

Lol

You are now boring me.

Have a nice day!
