The_DADDY Â Â 3,460 #1 Posted April 4, 2021 Hello folks. I wonder if anyone can help with this odd issue i have with a phone I bought second hand It works perfectly but for some reason i cant reset back to factory settings. I got it from a forum member who is happy to refund me if i cant reset it (i dont really want to do that though) but every time i go through the process its just restarts without resetting. Anyone got any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks..
 Share this content via...
Ghozer   112 #2 Posted April 4, 2021 (edited) If you are doing it via Android Settings > Reset etc and that's failing... try this... Turn the phone off... Once off, hold Volume UP+Power for several seconds... When recovery mode appears, let go of the keys now choose "wipe data/factory reset" and let it complete... The_DADDY   3,460 #4 Posted April 7, 2021 Thank you for trying to help Ghozer but it just won't do it. I've tried dozens of times but it just refuses to go back to factory settings. Ill just have to uninstall everything I don't want, install what I do want and just be happy about it. Huaweis eh, who on earth would buy one these? 😂
 Share this content via...
Ghozer   112 #5 Posted April 8, 2021 There will be a way to do it - considered doing a firmware reflash maybe? That always forces a reset
 Share this content via...
