Joe Biden The New President Thoughts So Far?

and they are usually unlicensed nutters who would get a gun anyway to carry out their madness?

Apparently it's the 'any way method' of obtaining guns that Joe Biden is addressing. Starting with a crackdown on the proliferation of so-called ghost guns, or firearms assembled from kits.

It's a start, and I hope he will go further.

But how far can he go when the right of people to keep and bear arms is written into their constitution.

The 2nd Ammendment is ambiguous.

Current (and previous) Supreme Court decision has interpreted in favour of the gun-owning lobby.

A different minded court could see that the absence of any need to maintain a militia can remove the right to bear arms.

Political appointment to the Supreme Court will always influence such decisions.

why on earth or how on earth you can enforce a global minimum corporation tax rate? the man is deluded, why should companies be held to account for government financial inadequacies.

Biden has pulled it off. Global minimum corporation tax rate agreed meaning multinationals will no longer be able to offshore their profits.

Radical socialism 😉

Caught headline yesterday that Mircosoft, registered in Ireland, paid no cooperate tax on $200billion of international sales.

Bout time the transnationals  paid their share

Biden is a bumbling joke and not in full control of his faculties His handlers are guilty of elder abuse.

His comments about kids, the dodgy deals he did with his son in the Ukraine and China and the allegations of rape should be enough to get him investigated at the very least.

At this point in North America's storied history, almost anybody would've made a better POTUS than Trumpet IMO, the man got impeached, twice! And would therefore struggle to get elected as a Milk monitor in an Elementary school.

Although, if I was American and had been old enough to vote at the time, I'd possibly have voted for Bush senior or Bill Clinton, Clinton in particular seemed like a nice enough bloke.

I was talking to a friend yesterday who has a small business, at most it's employed 10 people. He told me that a few years ago he paid more corporation tax in the UK than Amazon.

Just you watch this space how quickly they will setup head offices outside of the G7. Just wait and see what their very clever lawyers think up to find some loophole.

I'm not opening the champagne just yet. This is only at the start of the war and I cannot see the corporations lying down and taking it that easy.  I'm not convinced that developing nations desperate to enhance their power over the world won't be taking steps to seize the opportunity to welcome these companies with open arms.

The principle is great. I am fully in support.  But it's actually getting everybody on side to create a level playing field that is a hard part.  If all Nations bind together together a united front - fantastic but I'm not convinced somehow.

It's been a bit if a credo for the Biden administration that the ones at the top need to pay their share.

As governments are going to be desperate for income post covid ,the beggar my neighbour days hopefully are over.
