Joe Biden The New President Thoughts So Far?

Recommended Posts

So there is no "Quote from Obama (who advised Joe not to run for President) " "Don't underestimate  Joe's ability to f... things up!"" just a comment () attributed to an anonymous Democrat Party worker and relayed to a reporter from a 'left leaning' magazine-Politico- in or before 2016 in the context of Obamas support for Clinton.

I am glad you regard a 'left leaning' MSM magazine-Politico- as "...a reliable source, at least on all things Trump".

Certainly not a view held by Trump supporters. These headline and comment are examples.

Politico quoted:

----One Democrat who spoke to Obama recalled the former president warning, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to **** things up.”, ----

It was in quotation marks, I posted it ver batim.

You do not appear to understand the correct usage of quotation marks.

As for credibility, Politico is regarded as a trusted source of news, by Forbes (one of the top ten), and Pew Research.

And that's my last word to you on this particular subject. It's getting boring.

Biden won and is now President and is one for at least another 3 and a half years, So posting reams of stuff about the minutae of who said what to who seems a bit excessive. There are far more interesting  amd relevant things to discuss.

I agree.

Here's something on topic, from today's news.

Two views, one from Fox News, and one from CNN.

"Michael Goodwin: Biden team's meltdown – Afghanistan crisis renews doubts. Is he up to the job?"

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/biden-team-meltdown-afghanistan-crisis-questions-michael-goodwin

"Hurricane, Afghanistan exit and pandemic exacerbate Biden's presidency of crises"

https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/30/politics/president-joe-biden-hurricane-ida-afghanistan-coronavirus/index.html

Take yer pick!

A bit of friendly advice:

We don't take Fox News seriously in the UK.

Just between the two of us, I don't think Fox News does, either.

Didn't they recategorise themselves as entertainment, instead of news, so they don't have to back up their stories with even a shred of the truth?

Biden could cure cancer and end world hunger and Fox would not have a good word .

Hasn't it been found that people who regularly watch Fox are less well informed  than people who watch no news.

Indeed, Fox News would criticise Biden for destroying Big Pharma

how are the Taliban gonna return it now?  the last flight to the USA has just left . . .

I'm beginning to think the self-declared Very Stable Genius isn't very smart.

You do not appear to understand the correct usage of quotation marks.

So what you were posting "...ver batim(sic)..." was part of an article.  I am glad that you have made it clear that you were not quoting Obama directly, but indirectly from an article that appeared in a magazine written by a reporter who was recalling a conversation with an anonymous person who overheard Obama.

I use quotation marks when it is a direct quote of speech or words.

I would not use quotation marks if it is an indirect report of a conversation as in this example.

I never said Mueller was a Candidate for the Supreme Court.

Made up in your head!  Lol

I did say he had a likely chance of ending up there, based on the glowing praise he received when he was appointed Special Prosecutor.

You were wrong.

His chances of ever ending up on the SC are, and always were, zero.

He was interviewed for FBI Director, though, by Trump for the Head of FBI job.

Nope:

"Former special counsel Robert Mueller had taken himself out of the running to be FBI director by the time he met with President Donald Trump about the job, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told federal investigators."

Now his career in government is over.

:?

A big nope to you too!

Rosenstein's credibility? He, like Mueller, and some 36 Obama FBI Senior operatives are out of public office, after the phony partisan "Russian Collusion" Conspiracy.

Back on the tools as we used to say!

"Special Counsel Robert Mueller Had Been On White House Shortlist To Run FBI" - National Public Radio
https://www.npr.org/2017/06/09/532286723/special-counsel-robert-mueller-had-been-on-white-house-short-list-to-run-fbi

Court Cases? Win some lose some.

Poor Joe Biden, lost the only two cases he brought before the U.S. Supreme Court. (Immigration and Eviction)

Trump fared somewhat better, in his Supreme Court Cases, winning the majority.
