Parkgate Transport Improvement Consultation - Bus/Tram And Road

For anyone who visits or works in the Parkgate area of Rotherham and travels there either by bus/tram or road, RMBC, SYPTE and SCR are now carrying out a consultation exercise and seeking peoples views on a number of transport improvements:

 

• A new link road, footway and cycleway from Aldwarke Lane into Parkgate Shopping (Stadium Way);
• Highway improvements at Taylors Lane roundabout;
• A new 300-space Park & Ride facility for the Parkgate Tram Train terminus.

Finally someone has seen sense. Never understood why they didn't include that link road in the first place, will make a massive difference,

I think one limiting aspect of Aldwark lane and the width, is the railway bridge.
