i use to call in for hair after swim.

I Presume you are aware of ''Picture Sheffield'' ??

 

Here's a few pics of the area you covered in your photographs.

My dad drove for Gillott's Bread, based on Lyons Street, for a short while in around 1952. I sometimes went on his round with him on Saturdays in his lovely Bedford van. I believe the building on pic s12940 was Gillotts and is also shown on your photo with the ''Alpha'' sign.

can anyone remember the name of the pet shop in the old Rag Market, Its driving me mad trying to think what it was. HELP.

The only pet shop name I can remember was Mace's but thought that was down stairs at the Norfolk Market Hall in Exchange Street.
