staninoodle   168 #25 Posted January 24, 2021 Thought we did well for the 1st half hour or so,contained what was a very strong side, and had a couple of half decent long range efforts, not bad considering we were the ones fielding a weakend side, wityh youngster Brennan and Galvin and Andre Greene newly signed possibly not yet upto match sharpness. Borner lost his man for the goal, once he realised it was too late and the ball was already on its way into the goal. We offered little in the 2nd period, but to get done twice in a matter of minutes from two corners showed a lack of discipline and experience. Only the wildest of dreamers would have given a very poor quality Owls side any chance of getting a result from this game, especially once the team sheets were announced, besides Wednesday have more pressing games comming up in the next weeks, but you cant escape the drop in quality from the side under CC to the side that takes the field these days. The likes of Loovens,Hunt,Pudil,Sasso,Lee,Wallace,Hutchinson,Joao,Hooper,FF,Mathias,Fletcher have all left and not replaced or matched in quality, the chance to move players along and bring in funds to re invest was never taken. Hearing this week Wednesday have joined the race to sign Harry Pickering,if true this is hopefully is a sign the club is at last treading the right path, hopefully its not too late to put right the mistakes made over the last 4 seasons, but thats an encouraging sign if its true. Nice summing up, but I thought Pelupessy was at least equally to blame for the first. He should have got a block in. Brown was awful when he came on and he says he wants to stay! NERVY-OWL Â Â 183 #27 Posted January 25, 2021 Well got what was expected. Nice for confidence to go through but we haven't the squad to cope with extra games so not too fussed about going out. Â
 Share this content via...

Hotmale 1954   195 #29 Posted January 25, 2021 Brown must be very low on confidence. He's quality, but his head needs sorting. Green looked like a coiled spring. Some good stuff from him, albeit only for 5 seconds rather than more involvement. We did ok with a mixed team. Uroghide did pretty well. Penney came on too late. Bannan needs to ban himself from passing 2 metre passes, square passes, and especially 30 metre back passes. He needs re-programming to pass forwards 90% of the time. His long passing is superb. When did we last score from a corner? Lees. How many do we score from corners? Very few. We concede loads. I like Börner. We need the Kevin Keegan approach, up and at 'em. Nuhiu or Paterson? Come back Atdhe! Shaw and Penney should get more playing time. Other young 'uns on the fringe look ready as well.
 Share this content via...
