oscar2157 12 #1 Posted December 30, 2020 (edited) A first for me.. but maybe not for 'you'....after many years and many hours of brush painting doors around the house.. I gave gloss from a roller a try.. using the brush rarely only for intricate parts and wow ! what a time saver !.. use a pack of small rollers from any store.. don't clean them - just chuck when done. I obtained excellent results from a non drip paint - but stirred it really well before use to make it more manageable. charliewag 18 #2 Posted December 30, 2020 As well as using a small gloss roller on doors I get a really good finish on window sills.
 Share this content via...
apelike 10 #3 Posted December 30, 2020 Sponge gloss rollers are fine if you are using oil (solvent) based gloss as it can take several hours to dry. However, they are not very good to use on modern water based acrylic style gloss though as it dries very quick and you can end up with an orange peel effect and not a smooth finish.
