Baron99   801 #1 Posted December 2, 2020 (edited) Think Wilder, (SUFC), was / is right to vote against using 5 subs in Premiership matches and he wasn't the only one.  It's great of course, (and the easy option), if you're one of the top sides, who have spent a fortune on world class players, which you want to chuck on if things aren't going right for you but surely the skill of a great manager is to prepare your resources for a game & tactically use the 3 substitute players at the optimum time. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/12/01/you-had-enough-bbc-pundit-responds-to-liverpool-boss-klopps-comments-on-wilder/  Edited December 2, 2020 by Baron99
 Share this content via...
Jim Hardie   527 #2 Posted December 2, 2020 For me the issue is not whether five subs should be the rule, but whether Klopp should have kept his trap shut and not criticised a fellow manager for doing what he thinks is best for his own club. In other words, doing exactly what Klopp was seeking to do.
 Share this content via...
atticus   97 #3 Posted December 2, 2020 Klopp had just seen his side concede a last minute equaliser when a reporter asked him a bit of a daft question. He is obviously not used to dropping points to teams like Brighton  (welcome to our world ) and he bit straight away. Like Jim says he should have kept his gob shut and acted with more class, but i guess the pressure is telling , even at the top. Pettytom   1 #4 Posted December 2, 2020 To be fair, Wilder has a point.   😀
 Share this content via...
Vasquez Rich   10 #5 Posted December 3, 2020 Klopp should deal with it, not like he doesn't have plenty of resources at his disposal. As if the "big" clubs don't have enough things stacked in their favour, the whole "mini league" Champions League format was brought in to give those clubs the max chance of progressing without suffering a one off defeat to some "small" club and getting dumped out if it was a simple knockout....  I'd like to see these so called elite managers take over at somebody like Mansfield or Halifax with little cash available and have to actually build a team from scratch rather than just go around spotting guys they want to buy for 10s of millions.... that's not exactly rocket science is it, we can all spot a good footballer when we see one. butlers   261 #7 Posted December 6, 2020 Have zero sympathy for the big 5/6 ,they can field multiple teams They are so entitled surprised they don't just ask for other teams to only field 10 at the start
 Share this content via...
