zach   233 #3 Posted November 26, 2020 Like anything, there's cheap and there's good.  USB sticks may look the same but the speed and quality can be another thing. I've used them on my last TV as a PVR hard drive and they seemed to work OK. The last one I used was a 256GB Sandisk USB 3.0. For a bit more cash you could buy a 2.5" SSD and a USB to 2.5" SATA adaptor. This would work much better but you'd have to double check the TVs USB can run it OK.  Can't say I ever tried to pause TV on one.
