Wi-Fi Card Install.

Recommended Posts

I have a desktop with a wired network connection. Is it necessary for me to install a Wi-Fi card into the desktop or wont it make any difference to the way my P.C works at the moment?

Unless you intend to use WiFi, there's no reason to install one...

As above really,

It won't alter how your PC works, it will show the WiFi adaptor and you'll have the option to use wireless network. Depending on the WiFi adaptor, you might notice the internet/network over WiFi  is slower than the wired connection. It's not a fault, just the speed some adaptors or internal cards run at.

Thank you both for the information and I will leave it as it is.
