Sad to report that long serving presenter of news and sports programmes Frank Bough passed away aged 87

Big surprise when I heard about him dying?  I thought he'd died about a decade ago. 

 

Shame how his career ended & the tv channels dropped him following all the newspaper scandals.  If he'd been broadcasting today & the stories had surfaced, he could have done what they do today, just brazen it out & made even more money on the notariaty.

I'm feeling the same. If asked I'd have offered he'd passed a while back.

When you think about what has surfaced about other BBC 'stars' from that era, what Frank got up to seems fairly tame.

Perhaps you are thinking of David Coleman as having passed a few years ago ?

No I was thinking of Frank Bough.  Totally surprised to hear he'd died.  If someone had randomly asked me I'd have said, some time between 2005 to 2010.
