Poppy Appeal

Recommended Posts

Not sure how many poppy sellers we will see this year but you can buy online from the British legion poppy shop.  I have bought a larger one to put in my window

Also Xmas cards too you can buy via charities' websites -

Hope no one minds me posting this but all charities are struggling.

Thanks for that info. As you say, it’s been tough for Charities for ages now.

Over the last few years we haven't actually bought a poppy to wear (my partner can't wear one on his uniform and I always lose the paper ones so I bought metal jewellery a few years ago) so we just log in and make a donation instead.  I don't believe that people should feel forced to wear a poppy to fit in with others' expectations and I'm happy to make a donation without wearing a bright red piece of paper to show that I've donated.
